Made with Love and Joy
I love knitting and it brings me joy and I hope my designs will also bring you joy while you are knitting them… so it may seem like “Made with Love and Joy” was an easy tagline to come up with for Beach House Knits.
In fact, it was easy to come up with… but it stems more from the fact that “Love and Joy” actually comes from all the cards and notes that my Granny (and Pete*) have sent me since I was a little kid. Granny always signed cards to me this way and I’ve never seen a closing like this one, so I always knew it was special and that I would come back to it over and over again throughout my life.
When I was coming up with the branding for Beach House Knits with my friend Ada of Oliver Creative, making or made with love and joy kept sticking out to me as something I wanted to incorporate. Love and Joy are the two emotions I want to evoke with my designs. I hope you can feel them too!
P.S. Isn’t her handwriting lovely? She was an english teacher and her penmanship is so nice! Mine gets sloppier with age. 🙂
*Granny is my maternal grandma who just turned 90 this year and the inspiration for my Flourish Cowl. Pete passed away a few years ago and was my maternal grandpa.
