The idea for Husk came out of my desire to combine a variety of cables with a fuzzy yarn. I also really wanted to create a cozy bandana-esque neck covering for the Fall and Husk was born! Husk uses two yarns held together to create that super soft halo effect. Once I finally put Husk on, it felt like it was just floating around my neck.
This cowl is for those who really love the look of an asymmetric style shawl and don’t enjoy fussing with styling it. Just pop it on, scrunch it up a bit and off you go!
Cowl is worked flat from the top left corner on a bias by adding stitches on either side for several rows. After the left side is complete, increases continue along the top until that length is reached. Then, it decreases the shape on the right side of the piece. Next, a thick i-cord bind-off is worked and the ends are woven in. The piece is then blocked. Once the cowl is dry, both left and right sides are seamed together.
