Heart and Soul Sweater PDF Pattern

$8.00

Heart and Soul began as a special tribute to my best friend. I first created the shawl version as a collaboration with Less Traveled Yarn and Woodsy and Wild and next was the lovely cowl version.

While both shawl and cowls are super practical, I am deep down, a sweater knitter. It is one of the things I love to knit most! This is my take on translating those versions of Heart and Soul and knitting it into my favorite knit garment – a top down, pullover!

Heart and Soul is a yoked sweater, worked from the top down. A small panel of lace is worked in a fuzzy suri and sock yarn combo. Heart and Soul is cropped and has straight sleeves worked until the cuff. All the trims are knit in a gorgeous twisted rib. This sweet sweater looks great over skirts and dresses, as well as high-rise pants.

The lace pattern is written only.
The sweater begins by working the neckband. Then short rows are worked to add height to the back neck. From there, you will begin working your charts and increases. Once you have finished the yoke section, you will separate the sleeves and body. Front and back are joined at the underarms to knit in the round. The body is worked in the round, finished with a bottom hem trim rib. The sleeve stitches that are on hold, are then worked in the round to the cuff.
