Ferns and Flowers Sweater PDF Pattern

$8.00

Ferns and Flowers is a sweet little cropped sweater inspired by the summer foliage, primarily the ferns I have in my garden every year and the light blue hostas that pop up around this time of year. A few purl stitches are incorporated into this design to add a little texture to the standard colorwork yoke.

Ferns and Flowers is a yoked colorwork sweater, worked from the top down. The ribbing is not traditional, but adds to the sweetness of the sweater. It is cozy with positive ease – wear it with a skirt, a simple dress, jeans, or around the house in your favorite yoga pants!

The colorwork pattern is charted.

This yoked sweater is knit from the top-down in the round. The sweater begins by working the neckband. Then short rows are worked to add height to the back neck. From there, you will begin working your colorwork charts and increases. Once you have finished the yoke section, you will separate the sleeves and body. Front and back are joined at the underarms to knit in the round. The body is worked in the round, finished with a bottom hem trim rib. The sleeve stitches that are on hold, are then worked in the round to the cuff.
